Hey guys so today I wanted to teach you how to rock the arm party, otherwise known as layering gold bracelets and I understand that this can be a little bit difficult. It's a trend, it's super in right now and it's super easy to pull off, but because there's so much going on, on one arm, I understand it might be a little bit hard as you know, what looks good together, how can I pair it right, what's going to look right on me.
So I just wanted to give you guys a couple tips tricks and pointers, in addition to a couple of general ideas of what you could try to do. First thing is that when you do an arm party, you only want to do it on one arm, two arm parties it's going to look a little bit, often people aren't going to know which arm to look at. If you want to do the arm party, it gives you one arm and leave the other one bare or do one arm, maybe accessorize with a few rings or do one arm and then just do a very simple statement piece. You could do you know a whole bunch of crazy stuff here and then just one more natural piece or one more statement piece. Not something that's way out there, though of course you can totally break the rules, but those are some general guidelines so that people are focused just on that one area of your body. Also it doesn't matter which arm it is, no it's totally up to your discretion. So arm parties can be worn formal, casual or anything in between. So it really depends on where you're going, what you have on hand and how you feel comfortable. So now I’ll give you a couple pieces and the first one is actually to use a watch and I have two here obviously, one would be more formal, so the more formal watch and this would be a little bit more casual and men's watches were super, super in last season. This is just a way to bring that trend into an arm party so I'm going to put these on. Kind of layer it up with what I’ve got around here and I will show you exactly why I chose to do what I did. Here is one way to rock a watch as an arm piece and this way is very, very casual and very chunky. Since I’ve chosen a chunky watch I want to go with some chunky bangles these are very, very big. You could use any texture or pattern that you do happen to have on hand, but I decided to pair them up, just because it gives a little bit of definition. In addition these are a couple of gold bangles and I just like to put these at the end to kind of bring in this gold again. So here is our arm party with little red accents to the rest of our look, maybe red skinny jean along with this top, this is a super cute way to pull this off. Another great example would be to stick to a plain or basic colour here. Since my watch is gold, I decided to stick with some golds and a little bit of neutral colour such as black and a little bit of brown. So here we have a wrap bracelet, we have some pearls, of course our gold watch, a black bangle, a kind of black and gold bangle and a chain. So this would be another way to rock the arm party and of course you could do this with silver jewellery as well or any other colour watch that you have. This is just another way to kind of rock that stacking trend and really make a statement with what you're wearing on your arm. This is a little bit more edgy and casual, but you could definitely dress it up as well depending on what you have available to you. If you're not a big fan of bracelets that sign up and down your arm, you can definitely try something like this. I think that this is a super cute look that's very boho and very earthy and the best part is that it stays put. These are all scrunchie bracelets so they tend to stay in place and then this is almost like a big claspy bangle and it just kind of tends to hold its shape. So I think that this is really adorable, it's very flirty and feminine and fun and keep in mind you can always mix these up to get exactly the look that you're trying to achieve. Another great option is to play with themes, so I'm going to show you a couple of different options here as well. This is the first one that I think is absolutely adorable, since Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner, I think that this is a great way to kind of rock the trend and use just a couple of dainty pieces that kind of give it that same feel. This is just like a small bangle, this is really where it all comes together. We have a little bit of kind of like a charm in there. This one happens to be from jewel mint, he's like a key bracelet, kind of like key to my heart or something cute like that, but this is another way to really just kind of give a pop and a festive feel to whatever it is that you're rocking that day. Another really cute idea for you to play around with memory. What I’ve done is taken a couple pieces that mean a lot to me, these are a couple of bangles and I just love bangles in general but also my boyfriend's Indian. Some of these I just got, I believe I got them online. This is actually a piece from jewel mint and as you guys can see it's just cute little hearts. This is actually a very special bracelet, my boyfriend gave this to me, it has my birthday and only it's 11, the date that he gave it to me or the year he gave it to me and then I also have a big old charm bracelet and the reason that this really works is, because this takes a bunch of sentimental things and puts them all together in one place for a really fun and flirty look. It's really sentimental as well, you guys don't have a boyfriend, don't feel limited at all. You could also do something like this heart bracelet and maybe a charm bracelet and then maybe some friendship bracelets. So don't feel limited to relationships or not, you can do friendships, you can do cats, you could do something special like that as well, but hearts are a great way to bring all that in together and even though this is silver and this is gold, it brings that pop of silver to this gold and even the hearts pick up on each other. The last tip I have for you is to break the rules, throw all of your bracelets out in front of you and just kind of work with whatever goes together. The biggest thing you can do is break the rules, try pairing gold and silver together, try pairing a really expensive golden or diamond bracelet with a piece from the dollar stores. It's like 99 cents and full of those fake plastic beads, throw things out in front of you and see what works together and what goes with what you're wearing. This is a little bit more nautical, we have a couple of nautical colours kind of like a seashell or ivory and then this is actually a bracelet ring, but it almost looks like a net. So just work with what you have and have fun with it. Of course there are tons of other ways to do this and if you guys want to go check out the blog I actually have a post where I show you some photo inspiration from where I got the inspiration for some of these looks and where you can go to get other bracelets.
